Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dental Assistant Level II who is HARP (HIV/AIDS and Related Conditions Program) Certified to join our dynamic team. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to assist with a variety of dental procedures, support patient care, and ensure smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong dental assisting skills, familiarity with dental software, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to maintain a safe and efficient environment
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics cases
- Take digital radiographs (CAD) and manage digital imaging systems such as Dentrix and Epic
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic health record systems
- Support front desk activities by greeting patients, scheduling appointments,
and handling administrative tasks as a dental receptionist (training will be provided, all staff members are cross trained).
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain clinical cleanliness
Requirements
- Valid Dental Assistant Level II certification along with HARP certification
- Proven experience in dental assisting, including orthodontics and pediatrics preferred if not training will be provided in ortho.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, Epic, and CAD systems for imaging and record management
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and OSHA regulations
