Lead impactful programs for school-age children with the Developmental Disabilities Association in Brock Junction. This part-time role enhances children’s learning and social skills.
You will assume the role of Lead Child and Youth Worker on a permanent part-time basis, primarily focused on developing inclusive educational programs during the school year and expanding your impact during school breaks. Your academic background in related fields, combined with solid interpersonal skills, will facilitate your effectiveness in this rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide opportunities for children's skill development • Support and engage with children requiring extra assistance • Partner with educators to enhance educational experiences • Ensure a secure and welcoming program environment • Lead recreational activities that promote inclusivity
Requirements: • Minimum 3 years in relevant education or experience • 1 year of direct experience with children in schools • Skills in behavior management and interpersonal communication • Class 5 Driver's License and clearances required • Obtain First Aid/CPR certification
