Duties
- Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas to meet health and safety standards
- Support the kitchen team by managing waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently
- Ensure all dishes are sanitized properly before being stored or used again in food service operations
- Follow safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and operating dishwashing equipment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes during busy service hours
Skills
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards in a food service environment
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Positive physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper chemical handling practices
