Make a difference in the lives of youth with Hull Services as a Child and Youth Care Counsellor. This full-time position is centered on trauma-informed care for children aged 9 to 13.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary team at the Mountainside Program, where your responsibilities will include direct engagement with youth, addressing their mental health and developmental needs. Offering consistent support, you’ll help create a secure and nurturing setting.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide daily care, safety supervision, and developmental support • Utilize appropriate behavioral interventions and strategies • Create structured daily activities promoting learning and social skills • Role model positive behaviors in grooming, nutrition,
and hygiene • Advocate for children’s rights and wellbeing in all interactions
Requirements: • Degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care or related areas • Prior experience in therapeutic care settings desirable • Comprehensive background checks and clear driving records • Exemplary relationship-building skills and emotional maturity • Certifications in First Aid and crisis intervention preferable
