DZ Driver/Picker Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Start Date: Immediately Hours: Tuesday to Friday OR Monday to Friday, 6:00am OR 6:30am start Compensation: $27.30 to $29.46 per hour Today, Miller Waste operates collection fleets, recycling facilities, transfer stations, and composting operations that help communities manage waste responsibly while recovering valuable resources from the waste stream. The DZ Driver/Picker at Miller Waste Systems is responsible for the secure, efficient collection and transport of residential waste streams.

This role supports public health by ensuring timely service, adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and respectful interaction with the community. Be responsible for various waste stream Residential Collections. This may include Yard Waste Collection, Blue Box and/or Green Bin Collection and Residential Garbage Collection.

Provide customers with reliable and high-quality customer service as the proper disposal of the waste streams are vital to the health and well-being of the residents of the community that you are servicing. Adhere to the collection and delivery schedule to ensure all collected various waste streams are to be delivered to local Transfer Stations, Compost Facilities or Landfill Sites in an efficient and appropriate manner. Follow all relevant policies and procedures of the Company, the MTO, Ministry of Environment as well as the by-laws of the Municipality in which you are working.





Failure to adhere to safety policies and procedures may lead to property damage, injury, or loss of life. Work with employees, management, resident and members of the public in a polite and respectful manner at all times. All waste receptacles that are emptied into the collection vehicle must be placed back on the resident’s property, flipped upside down at the curb, in the same place that they were removed from. from the ground into the hopper of a 2-person truck or into a side loader of a 1-person truck.
