ABOUT OPTIONS ACADEMY

Options Academy is an early childhood development program for children ages 2 -12. The program offers full day and half day academic and extra-curricular programming as well as before and after school care programming enriched with a variety of Options.

Academy is committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to grow and excel. This new facility is equipped with a full gymnasium, a single purpose art room, a library, a gross motor room as well as dedicated classrooms for each age group.

POSITION: Childcare Level 1 / 2 / 3 (Preschool Educator)

SUMMARY The successful candidate will be helping with all aspects of the daycare, including supporting Educators in the classroom, supporting the Director in maintaining a clean and safe environment for the children, assist with planning, school drops offs and keeping the center clean.

RESPONSIBILITIES

At Options Academy, you will:

- Support Educators in providing an engaging program for young children ages 2+
- Assist with delivering activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program
- Ensure the children are eating healthy and nutritious snacks
- Ensure children are safe and supervised
- Effectively communicate with children




- Ensure the facility is maintained and cleaned in accordance with guidance from Alberta Health
- Establish routines and provide positive guidance
- Perform other related duties as required

LOCATION: Edmonton, Alberta EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time

COMPENSATION: Salary commensurate with experience and education.

- An additional 3 business days of paid leave during the Christmas Holiday closure
- 6 paid personal days / year after 1 year of employment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
