St. Michael’s Homes is seeking a Community Worker at the East Toronto HART Hub. In this full-time role, you will support participants facing mental health and addiction challenges while facilitating access to crucial services.

This position involves actively engaging with program participants, conducting intake assessments, and ensuring safety within the Hub environment. You will provide vital support through counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy, aiding individuals in navigating their recovery journey. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams enhances the effectiveness of services provided. Key Responsibilities:

- Open and secure the center, providing a safe atmosphere
- Assist new participants entering the program




- Proactively engage in crisis management and intervention
- Conduct program activities tailored to client needs
- Keep attendance and collect relevant participant data

Requirements:

- Relevant college diploma or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience in addiction and mental health sectors
- Ability to manage crisis situations and de-escalate conflicts
- Knowledge of diverse health service frameworks
- Strong collaboration skills with community partners
