This full time position requires an experienced engineer to support multidisciplinary project teams in both operational mines and development projects.
Key responsibilities include performing rock mass classification, conducting slope stability assessments, and managing engineering design studies.
Your role will also encompass mentoring junior engineers and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Perform engineering design studies for mining and civil projects
Conduct rock mass classification and define geomechanical domains
Assess stability for open-pit and underground excavations
Design performance monitoring programs and conduct site inspections
Prepare engineering design reports and technical specifications Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering
Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience
Registered as a Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
Experience in geotechnical analysis and project management
Valid driver’s license Lead rock mechanics initiatives and support engineering excellence in North Bay.
