Be a vital part of St.
Francis Elementary
School as a Special Education Technician in Richmond, Quebec.
Your role will focus on developing individual education plans to enhance learning for at-risk students. With a commitment of 17.58 hours per week, you'll work from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, providing tailored support and activities for students with social and learning challenges. Collaborating with teachers and external agencies, you will help create a conducive learning workplace that promotes student growth and development. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the creation of individualized education intervention plans
- Organize educational and cultural activities to boost skills
- Assist students in gaining independence and academic success
- Document observations and maintain detailed student records
- Collaborate with stakeholders and maintain communication with families
Requirements:
- Diploma of College Studies in Special Care Counselling
- Current first aid certification from the last 3 years
- Strong proficiency in French and English, both written and verbal
- Completion of a requisite update course within the last 3 years
- Ability to implement effective communication strategies
