Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Electrical & Fire Safety Specialist to ensure the safety and compliance of our manufacturing facilities. In this vital role, you will oversee electrical systems and fire safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and implement training programs to promote a safe working environment. Your expertise will help prevent hazards, ensure adherence to safety standards, and foster a culture of continuous safety improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical installations, equipment, and systems to identify potential hazards or non-compliance issues.
- Develop and implement fire safety procedures, including emergency response plans, evacuation drills, and fire prevention measures.
- Provide training and development sessions for staff on electrical safety practices, fire prevention, and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of electrical systems in accordance with safety regulations.
- Monitor compliance with local, national, and industry-specific safety standards related to electrical and fire safety.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, safety incidents, training sessions, and corrective actions taken.
- Stay updated on the latest regulations, technologies,
and best practices in electrical safety and fire prevention to continuously enhance safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of electrical systems and fire safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training programs related to safety practices.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills for inspecting electrical systems and identifying potential risks or hazards.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and conducting training sessions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a rapid-paced manufacturing setting.
- Nice-to-have: certifications in electrical safety or fire prevention; experience with manufacturing operations; background in training & development initiatives.
