Crosslinx Transit Solutions Maintenance (CTSM) is currently seeking an Electrician (Electrical Maintenance Technician) who will play a significant role as a member of our Electrical Maintenance team.

This position will assist in the operation, preventative/corrective maintenance, Help Desk Service events, emergency response, troubleshooting and repair of facility electrical equipment. Incumbents will demonstrate technical expertise in one or more of the following areas of expertise: HVAC, Electrical Power Distribution, UPS Systems, Variable Frequency Drives, Control Panels, general repairs, preventative maintenance and Utility Plant Operations, including Power Isolations for maintenance works at the stations and in the guideway path of the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Line (ECLRT) in Toronto, Ontario. The incumbent must be willing to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities:

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment up to 600V AC, ensuring all work meets operational and safety standards.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) requirements, and CSA Z462 electrical safety standards.
- Interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and code requirements to support accurate installation, maintenance, and system modifications.
- Maintain, calibrate, and service electrical components and equipment to ensure consistent and optimal performance of the ECLRT facilities and systems.
- Respond promptly to service requests, deficiencies, and emergency calls, providing effective on‑site technical support as required.
- Perform Power Isolations to ensure safe working conditions on station equipment and within guideways near the 750V DC Overhead Line.




- Escort contractors and monitor their activities to ensure compliance with site safety rules, operational procedures, and security protocols.
- Assist other trades and Facility Maintenance Technicians with general, technical, and preventative maintenance responsibilities.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to process Work Orders, document findings, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Manage and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials; verify deliveries and ensure all assets remain operational and properly stored.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workplace, following all hazardous materials handling procedures and organizational safety policies.
- Stay current with evolving technologies, equipment, and best practices by participating in required technical and safety training sessions.

Qualifications:

- Mechanic, Electrical – Fire Suppression, or Building Operator.
- Minimum of 10 or more years of experience in a similar role. (Certified 309A Electrician is required).
- Experience with electrical maintenance and repair in a complex industrial commercial or institutional facility with low voltage (up to 750 V) and 27.6 kV substations, UPS, variable frequency drives, fire alarm and enunciator systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ministry of Environment Regulations, Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code.
- Comprehensive knowledge of potential health and safety hazards in the workplace.
- Sound judgement, problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills, which include excellent verbal and written communication skills.




- Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel is an asset.
- Knowledge of CMMS software is an asset.
- Must have a valid non-probationary Class “G” Province of Ontario Driver’s License in good standing.
- Health and safety training and supervisory experience are a definite asset.

Who we are? Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a P3 consortium comprised of EllisDon, Atkins Realis, Aecon and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the ECLRT Project. CTSM is part of this joint venture and will provide Maintenance and Rehabilitation Services for System Assets of the 19-kilometre ECLRT for a 30-year contract term.

Please note, we are located at 85 Industry Street, Toronto, Ontario, and cannot accommodate working remotely. The successful candidate will be expected to physically work at this location.
