Northern Alliance Electric Inc. is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team.

We are a young, tight-knit electrical company that takes pride in doing clean, professional, high-quality work. We work on a variety of commercial and residential projects, and we are looking for someone who is confident running jobs independently.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own commercial and residential projects from start to finish, while working alongside and overseeing their own apprentices.

We are looking for someone who can be given a Van, set of drawings, scope of work and project expectations and confidently take ownership of the job.

Responsibilities

- Run commercial and residential electrical projects independently
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and plans
- Coordinate daily work with general contractors, customers and other trades
- Direct and mentor an apprentice
- Plan material requirements and communicate jobsite needs
- Complete rough-ins, finishing, service work and troubleshooting
- Maintain clean, organized and professional jobsites
- Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Communicate clearly with management regarding project progress, changes and extras

What We're Looking For




- Valid 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician licence
- Strong commercial and residential experience
- Experience running jobs and supervising apprentices
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read drawings and understand project scope
- Good communication and organization
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable, professional and punctual
- Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team
