: The EMT-P will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-P will cover standby assignment, as operations require. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

- Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)
- Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute

Licenses

- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)

- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
- Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
- International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)
