Avance Insurance Services
Winnipeg
At Avance Insurance Services, we believe employee benefits consulting should be smarter, more creative, and more personal. That's why we've built a growing boutique firm that helps employers across Canada rethink what a benefits advisor can bring to the table.
We combine the expertise you'd expect from a large national firm with the responsiveness, flexibility, and personal touch that only a smaller organization can deliver. We're builders, problem-solvers, and relationship-focused professionals who love finding better ways to serve our clients.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, thrives in a rapid-moving environment, and wants to be part of a company that's still writing its story. You'll work directly with colleagues and clients, learn the ins and outs of employee benefits, and help deliver an exceptional service experience every day. The Employee Benefits Service Associate supports the design, administration, and servicing of employee benefits plans for business clients.

- Track implementation timelines and follow up on outstanding requirements.
Client Service & Plan Administration
- Serve as a primary point of contact for business owners, plan administrators, and HR professionals regarding benefit-related inquiries.

- Coordinate with insurance carriers to resolve service issues and ensure timely follow-up.
- Support clients with online benefits administration systems and carrier portals.
- Assist with annual renewal activities, employee meetings, and ongoing client communications.
- Prepare and distribute plan summaries, forms, and employee communication materials.

- Prepare client correspondence, meeting materials, and presentations.
- Track service requests and ensure timely completion of follow-up activities.
- Assist with carrier forms, contracts, amendments, and policy documentation.
- Coordinate client meetings and maintain service calendars.
- Support advisors with general account management and client service activities.
- Contribute ideas to improve workflows, service standards, and the overall client experience.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in employee benefits, group insurance, financial services, or a related client service environment with an insurance brokerage or insurance carrier.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Life and Accident & Sickness (A&S;) License, or willingness to obtain.
