To provide the Plant with a high level of maintenance expertise that ensures departmental downtime meets Company objectives efficiently and to carry out equipment and building repairs as required, while adhering to quality, safety and legislative guidelines.

You will perform all daily inspections set forth by Technical Safety BC, including monitoring (ammonia) refrigeration plant, hot water systems, waste water plant while adhering to food safety and safety guidelines. Assist and support production and sanitation when required. You will respond to all breakdown calls, assess and repair immediately or as quickly as possible, limiting plant/machine downtime.

Ensure secondary production equipment such as conveyors, dumpsters and straightforward machines are maintained as per preventative maintenance program.



You’ll require good communication skills with Team Members, Supervisors, Managers, and all plant employees. Reports all defects, errors in production, machinery which may affect the workplace to the, Maintenance Supervisor/ Manager.

Ensure good housekeeping and maintaining a tidy safe work area. You’ll need to be able to carry out building repairs with a high level of concentration and alertness.
