Join Options Community Services as a Children’s Activity Worker and immerse yourself in impactful recreational programming for kids. This role focuses on fostering social and educational growth in Surrey's inner-city children and families. This energetic position under the S.T.A.R.R. program offers a chance to make a real difference in the community.
You will collaborate with the Program Manager to design and supervise activities tailored to children aged 6 to 13 years. Building solid relationships with families while ensuring children's well-being is critical every step of the way. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize recreational activities for children
- Supervise and support program participation during sessions
- Assess children's needs and model appropriate behavior
- Liaise with community agencies and professionals
- Document and evaluate children's emotional and physical well-being
Requirements:
- Diploma in social services or related field
- Minimum one year of experience in recreation or education
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license required
- Current Level I First Aid certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
