Join the University of Waterloo as an Engineering Student Machine Shop Instructor. This role focuses on teaching students essential machining skills in a supportive, temporary setting. The University of Waterloo seeks a dedicated instructor for its Engineering Student Shops.

This position is critical for teaching hands-on manufacturing techniques while ensuring a protected workshop environment. Instructors will mentor students individually, oversee machining processes, and maintain all necessary equipment in top condition. Key Responsibilities:

- Instruct students in machining and fabrication skills
- Supervise machine shop activities and safety compliance
- Approve designs and provide essential feedback
- Ensure equipment safety through regular maintenance
- Manage tool inventory for student access Requirements:
- Completion of High School and a relevant trades certification
- Minimum 7 years in metalworking machinery
- Proven ability in teaching and mentoring students
- Proficient in hands-on manufacturing techniques
- Familiarity with CNC and woodworking tools is advantageous Utilize your machining expertise to inspire the next generation at the University of Waterloo.
