Our client is a global engineering and project delivery firm trusted with complex mining and metals projects around the world. This role sits close to the action: leading the engineering behind major mineral processing projects, working directly with clients, and making the decisions that keep execution moving.
What You'll Do:
- Lead engineering delivery from early design through detailed engineering and construction support.
- Own the overall engineering scope, including key decisions, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
- Bring Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams together around a clear execution plan.
- Work alongside Project Managers to balance design requirements, cost, schedule, safety, and execution risk.
- Lead design reviews and step in when projects hit technical roadblocks.
- Work directly with clients to understand the problem, challenge assumptions, and find practical solutions.
- Set priorities, allocate resources, and keep multidisciplinary teams moving.
- Lead and develop engineers while maintaining clear accountability for the work.
- Identify technical risks early and address them before they affect the project.
- Keep engineering safe, practical, compliant, and fit for purpose.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering + P.Eng.
- Significant mining or mineral processing project exp. gained with an EPCM, engineering consultancy, or owner’s team.
- Exp. leading complex engineering scopes from early studies through execution.
- A background as an Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer, Project Engineer,
Engineering Superintendent, Technical Manager, or similar.
- Enough multidisciplinary depth to ask the right questions and challenge technical decisions across functions.
- A track record of aligning engineers, Project Managers, and clients around shared priorities.
- Strong commercial judgment and a practical understanding of schedule, budget, and project risk.
- The confidence to make decisions, resolve issues, and take accountability for the outcome.
- Clear, credible communication with both technical teams and senior client stakeholders.
- Gold, copper, nickel, rare earths, or broader mining and metals exp. is an asset.
