Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our HAZ/IEQ team in Barrie . In this position, you will play an important role in helping clients create safer and healthier spaces.

Your work will support projects that protect workers, improve building performance, and strengthen the health and resilience of communities. You will assess conditions in the field, gather accurate data, and translate your findings into clear recommendations that help clients make informed decisions. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to understand their goals and deliver solutions that reflect quality, integrity, and care.

Conduct site investigations for hazardous materials (asbestos, mould, lead, mercury, PCBs, IAQ, industrial hygiene, etc.) Assess building damage related to floods, water losses, fire, and smoke Collect, interpret, and analyze building material and air samples, including PCM asbestos air samples Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors during remediation activities Prepare clear, accurate technical reports and manage project timelines efficiently Liaise with clients and contractors to ensure health, safety, hygiene, and strong client relationships College diploma in Environmental, Construction, or Architectural Technology, or a BSc / BASc in Engineering (or equivalent) Experience with building construction or maintenance considered an asset Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and reports Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a personal vehicle; able to travel to client sites We offer competitive salaries and great benefits.
