Position: Test Automation Designer Coop/Intern

Duration: 4 Months - Winter Term (Jan 4th - Apr 30th, 2027)
Location: Hybrid in Ottawa
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a part of our team, you will:
Development of scripts or applications (XML, REST, JavaScript, Perl) to simulate various management activities and network scenarios
Development and execution of test plans to validate functional aspects of the product.
Investigation of product defects encountered during test scenarios.
Execution of tests and maintenance of regression and performance test beds, including publishing results and developing additional functionality
Key Skills And Experience
EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Engineering/Computer Science, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
Qualifications
Robust programming (Java, Perl, XML, JS) and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn quickly and to work in a rapid-paced, innovative setting
Knowledge of software and/or testing methodologies
It would be nice if you also had:
Experience using development tools like Git, IDEs, Jira, and Teams
Networking and telecommunications knowledge
Linux operating environment, Windows, Virtual Machines
