D&M; Pharmacy & Travel Clinic is looking for an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. We are seeking someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient care and customer service.
The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists and the pharmacy team in a busy community pharmacy workplace.
Requirements
Graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant program
Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience required
Experience working in a community pharmacy is preferred
Kroll experience is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
Skilled, reliable, and patient-focused approach
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Greet and assist patients and healthcare providers in person and by telephone
Receive prescriptions and assist with prescription processing and preparation
Prepare medications and pharmaceutical products under the direction of the pharmacist
Process third-party insurance claims and resolve rejected or problematic claims
Assist with pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and removing expired products
Maintain accurate patient records and complete administrative tasks
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
Provide skilled and courteous customer service
Support the pharmacist and pharmacy team with day-to-day operations
