Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic is excited to welcome an experienced Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to our team in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. With over 40 years of service to our community, we are a private, AAHA and AAFP-certified companion animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

About the Role

As an experienced DVM, you'll play a vital role in our busy clinic, working alongside a highly skilled team of experienced and new DVMs, as well as our talented RVT/VMA team. We pride ourselves on being different from most clinics by fostering collaboration with both our team and clients to meet our patients' unique needs. This position offers a dynamic and diverse workload, as DVMs rotate through surgery, dental, and appointments to keep skills sharp and ensure no two days are the same. While most shifts are Monday through Friday, occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

What You'll Be Doing

- Providing high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to companion animals.
- Collaborating with our team and clients to develop tailored treatment plans for patients.
- Rotating through surgery, dental, and appointments to maintain and enhance your skills.
- Offering mentorship and support to new DVMs and RVTs, fostering growth and development within the team.
- Upholding our values of honesty, trust, and transparency in all interactions.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must:





- Be registered to practice without supervision with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA).
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing DVM.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for collaboration and mentorship.
