Take on a key role as a Senior Mechanical Designer at AVL Manufacturing, specializing in the design of energy systems using SolidWorks. Focus on practical design and engineering solutions within a team-oriented environment.
In this position, you will drive the design process for Genset Enclosures and related products at AVL Manufacturing, one of Canada's largest privately-owned engineering firms. You will coordinate with various disciplines to ensure that all mechanical systems meet environmental standards and feasibility requirements. You’ll also assist in structural analysis and provide technical support in both a customer-facing and shop floor capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and create sheet metal and welded assemblies
• Work alongside process and electrical engineers on project integration




• Assess customer proposals and project feasibility
• Undertake testing and analysis via finite element methods
• Manage and prioritize multiple engineering projects
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience
• SolidWorks expertise, including modeling and FEA
• Knowledge of hydraulics and cooling systems
• Must possess a valid driver's license for travel
