The Sugioka Lab at UBC invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher focusing on developmental cell biology. Collaborate on cutting-edge projects using C. elegans to explore cellular mechanisms of embryonic morphogenesis. At the University of British Columbia, the chosen candidate will work under Dr.

Kenji

Sugioka, leading research on how actomyosin flow influences asymmetric division and developmental processes. This role requires a strong foundation in cell biology and the opportunity to develop independent research interests while mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. The cooperative setting encourages rich interaction with fellow researchers. Key Responsibilities:
Investigate molecular mechanisms of cell division
Utilize C. elegans and live imaging for experimental studies




Mentor junior researchers and facilitate collaboration
Analyze data quantitatively and manage imaging tasks
Contribute to research publications and presentations Requirements:
Ph.D. in Developmental Biology or related field
In-depth knowledge of cell and developmental biology
Familiarity with live imaging techniques and genetics
Robust communication and teamwork skills
