We are seeking an experienced

Power BI Developer

to join a banking technology team in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level

Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models

to support business and operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with

Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modeling, ETL, and Azure data services , along with an understanding of banking and financial-services data.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience

in Business Intelligence / Power BI development.

Strong hands‑on experience with

Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service .

Advanced knowledge of

DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling .

Experience building enterprise‑level dashboards and reporting solutions.

Solid understanding of

star schema, dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables .

Experience with

ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing .





Experience with Power BI performance optimization.

Hands‑on experience with

Row‑Level Security, workspace management, and deployment pipelines .

Experience working with large datasets and complex reporting environments.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Banking Domain Experience

Experience working in

banking, financial services, capital markets, payments, or insurance

environments.

Understanding of financial data, banking KPIs, and regulatory reporting.

Experience handling

confidential and sensitive financial/customer data .

Familiarity with data governance, security, compliance, and audit requirements.

Exposure to areas such as

risk, finance, lending, credit, AML/KYC, payments, or customer analytics

is an asset.
