Employer Name : North Arm Farm Position : Farm supervisor Salary : $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 35 to 65 hours per week Permanent employment, Full time The candidate must transparent and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas. The candidate will be responsible for cutting agricultural crops. The candidate will be responsible for dividing freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the activities of clearing the fields. The candidate must provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting. The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
The candidate must ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. The candidate must perform general farm duties.
The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
The candidate must examine the product's quality and readiness for market. The candidate must harvest vegetables by hand. The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
The candidate should be fluent in English language. There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma. Farm operations include broiler and other meat-type chicken production, chicken farming, fruit and vegetable combination farming, hay farming, hog and pig farming, hog management, layer poultry farming, livestock combination farming, other vegetables and melon farming (excluding potato), sheep farming, and potato and vegetable production.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment. The candidate must harvest crops. most people live or work on farms or ranches. Crops include artisanal crops, asparagus, bell peppers, blueberries, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, field berries, garlic, melons, onions, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, and zucchini.
The candidate must have experience using fertilizer applicators, sprayers or duster, tractors, and forklifts. The candidate should be willing to work overtime if necessary.
