Role Description The Financial Analyst role is a full-time, on-site position based in Markham, ON. The analyst will provide support for reporting, process improvements and financial analyses.

Key Responsibilities include the following:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

· Use technology to enhance the model & efficiency.

· Create, maintain, and update corporate forecasting and budgeting models.

· Monitor actual results against budgets, forecasts, and key assumptions, and assist with variance analysis.

· Prepare financial projections, scenario analyses, and supporting schedules for management review.

· Assist in the development of KPI/flash reports and consistent financial planning processes and reporting templates.

Investment Portfolio Communication & Reporting

· Monitor investment correspondence and action any deliverables.

· Enhance processes using technology.

· Review financial results and performance information for the investment portfolio.

· Gather and organize portfolio company financial statements and related supporting documentation.

· Coordinate with investment managers and business partners as required.

Documentation & Data Management

· Organize historical and current investment, real estate, and financial documents.

· Maintain orderly, accurate, and accessible records for portfolio companies, investment managers, service providers, and real estate projects as needed.

· Assist in the formation and standardization of financial reporting procedures and document management practices.

· Support special projects and other financial analysis requirements as needed.

Reporting Systems, Addepar & iCapital

· Assist in updating and generating reports from Addepar and other investment performance reporting platforms.





· Oversee and review data entered by iCapital, and participate in regular meetings with iCapital to support data quality and reporting accuracy.

· Help standardize reporting processes, procedures, and outputs across investment and financial reporting activities.

· Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and consistency using technology.

Month-End, Quarter-End & General Ledger Support

· Assist in the preparation and completion of month-end and quarter-end processes related to investment reporting using technology.

· Support the loading of investment information into the general ledger and assist with reconciliations as required.

· Coordinate with accounting and finance team members to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of financial information.

· Maintain supporting documentation for accounting, audit, management reporting, and compliance purposes.

Other

· Support team members/analysts as needed for coverage.

· Other special projects. ning & Forecasting

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets and market information.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparing and reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Relevant skills such as financial modeling (Excel or similar tools), valuation techniques, and familiarity with real estate and private equity analysis are beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
