The TD Bank Group Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) Department is responsible for Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) regulatory compliance and prudential risk management across the TD footprint.
We act as proactive and trusted advisors to TD Business Lines, while supporting a consistent, adaptable, and effective culture across the organization, ensuring money laundering and terrorist financing risks are appropriately identified and mitigated. We direct the design, content, and enterprise-wide implementation of TD's AML Program, which also includes ensuring that everyone both understands and complies with economic sanctions and anti-bribery/anti-corruption regulations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, FCRM Privacy, Data, and Change Governance, the Financial Crime Risk Specialist provides subject matter expertise and hands-on support to the FCRM's privacy designate activities. Managing and identifying privacy risk in day-to-day activities and influencing a culture of privacy compliance. Providing privacy-related subject matter knowledge applicable to the Risk Owner's products, services, and initiatives.
Identifying, understanding, and assessing privacy risk associated with business products, services, initiatives, data usage activities, models, tools and operations, etc.
Supporting Risk
Owners with the establishment, implementation and maintenance of privacy procedures and controls, as appropriate and in line with TD's risk appetite.
Supporting Risk
Owners as they mitigate and manage privacy risks applicable to their business activities and/or operations,
leveraging where possible existing governance, processes and controls. Supporting the Risk Owner with Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Program activities relating to privacy Laws, Rules and Regulations (LRRs), e.g., inherent risk rating, control mapping, etc., and escalating to the Privacy Office any RCM impacts/triggers that may warrant updated RCM activities for the Risk Owner. Promoting the privacy mandate through the implementation/maintenance of and compliance with privacy related policies, standards, procedures and guidelines, while collaborating with business and jurisdictional stakeholders, including but not limited to: Supporting end-to-end activities and reporting related to identified issues, events, and, where applicable, individuals' rights and information access requests and privacy related complaints and events, etc.
Working collaboratively with other PDs when Risk Owner's activities overlap across multiple Risk Owners and jurisdictions Acting like an owner in understanding and proactively supporting privacy compliance within their Risk Owner's strategic priorities 7+ yeas of experience in a governance/oversight role, compliance, audit, or related fields ~ Problem solving and analytical skills to assess privacy risks, identify issues and opportunities, and implement action ~ Keen ability to identify and elevate privacy risk as appropriate ~ Ability to respond to conflicting points of view and effect creative, responsive and feasible solutions ~ Ability to adapt to the privacy needs of their Risk Owner ~ An International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP) certification or other comparable certification,
