Enhance student achievement as a Learning Support Specialist with Northern Lights College and focus on wellness at Dawson Creek. This position requires immediate engagement to aid students facing academic challenges.

Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the Learning Support Specialist will play a key role in student retention strategies over the term from September 2026 to March 2027. You will work closely with students to address their unique needs, developing safety plans for those in crisis and delivering pedagogically sound workshops virtually and face-to-face. Your expertise in community resources will streamline access to vital support services.

Key Responsibilities:



• Assist students with identifying barriers to success • Develop and deliver holistic wellness workshops • Monitor and respond to Early Alerts proactively • Maintain contact records via the Retention system • Facilitate access to mental health and community services

Requirements: • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline • 3-5 years’ experience in education or related field • Crisis response and retention training required • Exceptional organizational and communication skills • Valid driver’s license for travel between campuses
