The Maintenance Lead

Hand role at Barminco is ideal for skilled tradespeople with a solid background in underground mining equipment. You will mentor mechanics, conduct quality control inspections, and lead safety initiatives in a FIFO rotation of 14 days on and 14 days off. Collaborate effectively with the Maintenance Foreperson to ensure high-quality maintenance solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Mentor and direct crew on maintenance best practices
Maximize mining productivity and reduce equipment downtime




Conduct quality control inspections before equipment departure
Ensure workshop tooling is protected and serviceable
Drive compliance with safety procedures and inspect the workplace Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician (421A) certification
Minimum 2 years in Lead Hand or supervisory role
Solid experience with Sandvik, Normet, and Caterpillar
