As a Funeral Director Assistant at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, located in Ottawa, Ontario, you will have the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service to the families we serve by providing support to Funeral Directors in all aspects of funeral services, including: greeting and assisting families upon their arrival at the funeral home and driving funeral vehicles when required.

Job Type: Part time/Call-In Passion for customer care, demonstrated in previous professional experiences. Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to partner with all levels of the organization.



Greeting and assisting families upon their arrival at the funeral home. Assisting with removals, transfers of decedent to the funeral home or crematorium as required.

Assisting with the preparation of various rooms, during visitations, various rituals, funeral services, burials and any other related tasks. Driving funeral vehicles when required by the funeral home. Performing general building upkeep and ensuring the proper maintenance of funeral service vehicles including washing, interior care, cleaning, polishing, general vehicle maintenance including scheduling and service care plans.
