As Manager, Health and Safety, you will lead the continued development and consistent application of SECURE’s Health and Safety Management System across the organization. You will oversee a team of Health and Safety professionals while partnering with leaders and key stakeholders to strengthen safety programs, support regulatory and audit compliance, advance risk management, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide health and safety practices across SECURE’s diverse operations. You will provide technical expertise, coach accountable leaders, support reliable incident investigations,
and use performance data and trends to identify opportunities that improve worker safety and business performance. You will lead a team of Health and Safety professionals who support the administration, implementation and continuous improvement of SECURE’s health and safety programs. The team works collaboratively with operational leaders and stakeholders across the organization to provide practical guidance, build capability and deliver consistent safety outcomes. The position will work across SECURE’s offices, facilities and field operations, with regular engagement involving leaders, workers, contractors, vendors, regulators and other external partners. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on the application and interpretation of SECURE’s HSEMS, safety systems, policies, programs, procedures, and work standards. Lead, plan, coordinate, and implement H&S; initiatives and projects. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of: The H&S; management system, policies, procedures, and work standards
• Educational resources and technical aids, in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Contractor management programs, client portals, and variance-request processes
• Corporate audit programs, including internal, external, and COR audits; identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions to address identified gaps.
Provide operational guidance to support compliance with SECURE’s HSEMS and applicable regulatory requirements. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to support successful program and project delivery. Support the training and development of accountable leaders on H&S; responsibilities and expectations. Monitor, analyze, and report H&S; statistical data, performance metrics, KPIs, and targets. Post secondary education or equivalent in Occupational Health &
• Safety.
Canadian Registered Safety
Professional (CRSP) designation would be considered an asset.
Safety Management
System including Industrial Hygiene, Emergency Management and major investigation experience and background. A valuable understanding of the HSE regulatory process and principles. Strong ability to build working relationships and contacts within the organization as well as with external regulators, vendors, and contractors.
Ability to analyze health and safety statistical information.
