Become a vital part of McGill University as a Safety Abroad Coordinator, tasked with enhancing travel safety education for students. Implement and oversee essential safety protocols and training initiatives. As a full-time Safety Abroad Coordinator reporting to the Associate Director of International Education, you will develop safety training programs, manage the travel registration system, and communicate vital safety information to students and faculty.
Your expertise will foster a culture of safety and preparedness within international programs, ensuring student security during global experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and administrate safety training for students abroad
- Manage compliance in the McGill Student Travel registry
- Design and assess safety protocols for travel contexts
- Lead incident communications and emergency response activities
- Collaborate on continuous improvements to safety practices Requirements:
- Degree and 4 years of experienced in related fields
- Competence in intercultural communication and risk management
- Robust writing and speaking skills in English and French
- Capacity to handle emergencies with professionalism
