This permanent part time position will have you preparing meals under the Food Service Supervisor. You’ll contribute to standardized recipes and occasionally cater to veterans' dining preferences. Experience in baking will be an asset, while effective communication will enhance service to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare standardized recipes for meals served
• Cook made-to-order dishes for veterans when needed
• Uphold high standards of sanitation in food preparation
• Work directly with the Food Service Supervisor in kitchen tasks
• Engage with patients to enhance their dining experience
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred one year of related cooking experience
• Skills in baking are beneficial
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Competency in multiple languages, especially French, is a plus
