Elevate the administration of justice as a Justice Officer with the Nova Scotia Department of Justice. This position involves providing legal information and support within the Supreme Court. We are seeking a skilled Justice Officer to deliver critical court support services.
You will use your knowledge of the justice system to assist litigants with their applications while liaising with judiciary members and the public. Key functions include monitoring court user fees and performing quasi-judicial duties as specified by provincial regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Provide information and assistance to court users
Perform quasi-judicial functions per Provincial rules
Monitor and manage court user fees
Attend court as needed to support case processes
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism consistently Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree plus five years in legal/justice workplace
Proficiency with legal documents and terminology
Experience in mediation and client assessment
Solid communication skills in person and online
