About The Position

This is a temporary part time support staff position replacing a Bargaining Unit member, reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing & Student Recruitment working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $32.06

This position will start as soon as possible, and end June 11, 2027.

This position performs a variety of complex duties in support of the administration and promotion of Lambton College’s academic and support services. The incumbent serves as a key liaison with prospective students and external audiences, requiring a high degree of interactivity and relationship-building.

The role requires comprehensive knowledge of all College programs, services, and student support systems to effectively inform, recruit, market, and advise prospective students and their influencers. A central focus is on supporting enrolment targets by attracting a strong applicant pool through the execution of tactics outlined in the Annual Recruitment Plan.

Specific Accountabilities

Inform and Advise:



Maintain a thorough understanding of Lambton College’s programs, services, and student support systems to effectively advise prospective students and their influencers

Recruitment and Outreach: Deliver presentations (virtually and in-person) to diverse audiences including high school students, parents, and community groups. Represent the College at events and conduct campus tours

Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with secondary and post-secondary institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to position Lambton College as a preferred choice

Data and CRM: Input and maintain accurate records in the College’s CRM system to support recruitment tracking and follow-up

Advising and Support: Conduct one-on-one advising appointments to guide students through academic planning, program selection, and application processes

Events: Upon direction of the Associate Director, plan, coordinate, and participate in recruitment and promotional events both on campus and in the community.

Qualifications

- Completion of a two-year diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in recruitment, marketing, public relations, or sales, with a focus on event coordination, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.

Additional Qualifications Include

- Strong public speaking and customer service skills
- Experience working with youth (16–25)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research
- Ability to analyze data and develop recruitment strategies
- Knowledge of Ontario’s education system and labour market trends
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
