The General Labourer / Swamper supports field and yard operations by assisting with industrial services, material handling, and general maintenance duties. This combined position ensures that both operational and yard tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and industry standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

General Labourer Duties

· Run and observe heating units in the yard.

· Perform seasonal yard duties including cutting grass and snow removal.

· Perform general clean-up of yard and shop areas.

· Operate equipment such as utility vehicles, skid steer, and backpack blower.

· Drive to pick up parts, supplies, and tools as needed.

· Wash equipment in the wash bay.

· Other duties as assigned.

Swamper Duties

- Perform industrial vac operations on drilling rig locations in a safe and professional manner.
- Assist in the loading of equipment and cleaning tanks.
- Provide support to drivers by handling hoses, equipment, and other materials required for vac operations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of vac trucks and related equipment.
- Assist with other field duties as required by the supervisor or driver.

Qualifications

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience in yard work, construction, or manual labor is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols




- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract (5 year)
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite

- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with a clean driver’s abstract.

- Ability to complete pre-employment testing regarding drug/alcohol and fitness to work.
- Must be flexible to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
