Who You Are:

As the General Manager, you are the primary leader of the venue - responsible for driving excellence, financial performance, and brand growth. You hold full operational oversight across Front of House (FOH) and set the tone for workplace culture and service standards.

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will be a central driver of this role involved in bringing this concept to life in Vancouver. You will establish the venue as the ultimate destination for major sporting events - from NHL, CFL, and NFL match-ups to Premier League soccer. You possess the energy to curate high-impact game-day atmosphere, ensure multi-screen AV programming, and build strategic fan-club partnerships while maintaining the authentic warmth of your local pub environment.

We are looking for the right individual to join us prior to open to help build our team, shape our upcoming launch, and champion the MRG values we live by every day.

Anticipated Venue Opening November 2026

What You’ll Do:

Leadership & Team Alignment:

- Lead by example and foster a positive culture that aligns with MRG's brand and values while encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
- Conduct daily huddles with floor leaders and employees to mentor, support,



and evaluate performance.
- Identify training needs and skilled growth by assigning staff to appropriate functions and holding them accountable to expectations with the support of senior leadership and shared services.

Operational Excellence:

- Assist with daily operations, including scheduling suggestions, timecard approvals, and maintaining operational standards.
- Fill out nightly reports thoroughly and with detail, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of daily operations.
- Work closely with culinary teams to ensure product consistency, and manage shipping and receiving schedules for supplies.
- Always working in the best interest of & promoting a positive reputation of The MRG Group, its employees, clients, reps and suppliers.

Event & Programming Execution:

- Participate in development of 6-pack creation as it aligns with the vision of the business.
- Support the execution of large party events and venue buyouts, ensuring top service.
- Execute activations and programming created by sales and marketing teams to drive business.

Guest Engagement:

- Create Positive Shareable Experiences by maintaining high service standards during peak times and actively engaging with guests to exceed their expectations, reflecting the commitments made by outreach teams and senior management.
- Gather and respond-to guest feedback to make active and continuous improvements.

Health & Safety:





- Ensure the health and safety of all staff and guests, and act as the key contact for inspections, WSIB procedures, and related audits.
- Collaborate with the facility team to ensure maintenance and repair of equipment and services.

What We’re Looking For:

- Valid Serving It Right Certificate required.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role in Hospitality / Food and Beverage.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- A proven track record of hiring, training and developing engaging team members.
- Experience using POS and other hospitality software systems. Previous use of Square & OpenTable is an asset (training provided).
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills, with a high degree of professionalism.
- Experience leading a team with the ability to hire, coach, delegate, and support.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a profitable hospitality business (P&L; accountability, labour management, food and beverage costs of goods and meeting sales targets).
- Flexibility with evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
