Step into a pivotal interim leadership role at FoodShare Toronto's Black Creek Community Farm in North York. As an influential ambassador for food justice, you will guide a thriving urban farm. FoodShare Toronto seeks an Interim BCCF Lead to oversee strategic and operational leadership amidst an 18-month parental leave contract.
In this significant role, you will work closely with the management team, funders, and the community to ensure high-impact program delivery and maintain organizational stability. Embracing principles of equity, sustainability, and community leadership is essential to successfully execute this role. Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic oversight across all farm operations
Foster partnerships with funders, agencies, and community members
Lead a diverse team while managing multiple priorities
Ensure financial stewardship of farm initiatives
Champion food justice principles in community programming Requirements:
Proven nonprofit leadership experience
Solid operational and financial management skills
Deep understanding of food justice and community challenges
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Experience in urban agriculture or environmental sustainability Drive impactful change and advance community food systems as the BCCF Lead.
