We are looking for an

Accounting Technician

to join our team

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Assist in the preparation and completion of assurance and advisory engagements for a variety of clients

Participate in a supporting role on consulting engagements

Effectively respond to client and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner; escalation issues as appropriate





Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members regarding job status and potential issues

Provide bookkeeping support for both clients and internal teams

Review client information and prepare query lists for managers

Prepare and maintain accurate client files in a paperless setting

Perform basic analysis on client files as directed by management

Actively build technical knowledge and progress toward professional development goals

A successful candidate will have:

A diploma/certificate/degree from a post-secondary institute in business administration, accounting or finance

1-2 years of relevant experience in public practice or professional services environment

Working knowledge of Canadian accounting frameworks (PSAB, ASPE, IFRS exposure considered an asset)

Eligible or planning to pursue CPA designation (PEP or PREP)

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Experience with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, TaxPrep, Sage 300 (ACCPAC),



Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), QuickBooks, and QuickBooks Online is an asset

Comfortable working with and adapting to new technologies and digital tools

Job type:

Permanent, Full-time

Your schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Where you’ll work:

Winnipeg, Manitoba

Salary range:
