Westpro Machinery Inc.is an innovative Canadian company with an experienced engineering team that designs and manufactures mineral processing equipment. We have a global presence and over 40 years of experience in the mining industry with worldwide manufacturing capabilities and equipment installations in over 20 countries.

Westpro has an opening for a Global Procurement based out of our Vancouver, BC location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing domestic and global suppliers while sourcing recent opportunities to maximize procurement strategies.
- Prepare accurate and detailed RFQ's that include key purchasing provisions and documentation.
- Analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements for purchase order preparation and submission.
- Manage open orders to suppliers and service providers to ensure objectives related to schedule, price and quality are met.
- Manage contractual documentation required for international procurement, transit insurance, packing/crating requirements and customs clearance.
- Manage freight delivery/shipping requirements.
- Manage and restock spare parts inventory data base and warehouse storage.




- Must have a proficient understanding of relevant component functionality.
- Experienced at negotiating with suppliers and service provider.
- Travel to supplier and service facilities domestically and abroad.
- Solve Make vs. Buy decisions when outsourcing manufacturing work.

Education and Certifications:

- Mechanical Engineering Degree or Mechanical Technologist Diploma an asset.
- Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) designation as asset.

Experience and Skills:

- Minimum 5 years OEM mechanical procurement required; specifically with motors, gear reducers, bearings, motor control panels, castings, steel purchasing.
- Experience working with fabrication, machining, sandblasting and painting service providers.
- International procurement experiences an asset.
- Excellent computer skills in Excel and Word a must.
- Excellent communication, time management and multitasking skills required.
- Versatile, highly motivated, self-starter able to plan, organize and work as a leader.

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
