Genesis Plant Propagation Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team in Langley, BC. This is a full-time position assisting primarily in our seeding and shipping departments.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented and flexible. Duties may vary depending on production needs, so applicants must be willing to work in different areas of the greenhouse and help wherever needed.

Position Details

- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- 8-hour workday
- Starting wage: $20.00 per hour
- 3-month probationary period, with a wage review upon successful completion

Duties Include Seeding & Production

- Assist with seeding a variety of flower and plant crops
- Operate and assist with seeding equipment
- Fill and prepare plug trays for production
- Label and organize trays accurately
- Move and organize plant material throughout the greenhouse
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Shipping

- Pull plant orders for customers
- Check varieties and quantities for accuracy
- Prepare and package plant material for shipping
- Label boxes and orders
- Help load and organize outgoing shipments
- Assist with other shipping duties as required

Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual
- Flexible and willing to work in different departments and assist with other greenhouse duties as needed




- Must be able to read and understand written English and communicate effectively in English with supervisors and coworkers
- Able to accurately read plant labels, variety names, quantities, work orders and shipping information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced greenhouse environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Able to lift and move plant trays and boxes as required
- Previous greenhouse, nursery, agriculture, shipping or warehouse experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person
