About this Role
437 is looking for a conceptually strong, performance-minded Growth Creative Strategist to own the ideas, briefs, and testing roadmap behind our paid creative.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both brand and direct-response creative. You’ll turn customer insights, product stories, cultural moments, and performance data into distinct concepts that can be produced, launched, measured, and iterated quickly across paid social.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing hooks, building a testing matrix, briefing creators, reviewing edits, and digging into results. They live and breathe data, using performance insights to decide what we should make next.
What You’ll Do
Creative Strategy & Concept Development
- Own the paid creative concept pipeline across all performance channels.
- Develop original concepts, angles, hooks, scripts, storyboards, creator prompts, and briefs rooted in customer insight, product value, brand positioning, and platform behavior.
- Build creative territories around fit, fabric, styling, social proof, founder story, product education, launches, objections, and cultural relevance.
- Translate campaign and product priorities into paid-first ideas rather than simply repurposing brand assets.
- Write briefs that define the audience, insight, hypothesis, message, hook, format, proof points, required assets, and success criteria.
- Partner with Design and Creative to develop net-new graphic and motion assets that support paid creative concepts and testing priorities.
- Refresh winning concepts through new hooks, formats, talent, products, offers, and storytelling structures.
Testing & Performance
- Own a testing roadmap that balances recent concepts, iterations of winners, and rapid variations.
- Partner with Media Buyer to define hypotheses, testing priorities,
naming conventions, and learning agendas.
- Review performance by concept, hook, format, message, talent, product, and audience.
- Turn quantitative results and qualitative signals into clear learnings and the next round of briefs.
- Identify fatigue early and maintain a forward pipeline so the team is not reacting after performance declines.
- Share concise weekly readouts on what is working, what is not, why, and what the team will test next.
- Help establish creative KPIs using available platform metrics, including spend scale, hook rate, hold rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, cost per acquisition, and creative longevity.
Creative Development & Collaboration
- Collaborate directly with Brand and Creative leads to align performance concepts with the broader brand direction and campaign priorities, then partner with the Creative Producer to translate approved concepts into production and carry them through final delivery.
- Own the development of paid social and UGC briefs, guiding creators, editors, designers, and production partners to ensure each asset maintains a clear strategic throughline from concept through final delivery.
- Review cuts and provide decisive feedback on hooks, pacing, messaging, proof, brand fit, and conversion clarity.
- Partner cross-functionally to uncover stories and assets that can unlock performance.
- Maintain a living library of concepts, tests, results, learnings, winners, and reusable frameworks.
- Use platform trends, competitor creative, customer comments, reviews, returns feedback, and organic signals to uncover new ideas.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in performance creative strategy, growth creative, paid social creative, copywriting, content strategy, or a related role for a consumer brand or agency.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong concepts, clear briefs, direct-response thinking, and creative informed by performance.
- Hands-on experience developing paid social creative for Meta and TikTok.
- Strong understanding of testing, iteration, fatigue, and how metrics inform, but do not replace, creative judgment.
- Excellent writing skills, including hooks, scripts, headlines, and messaging angles.
- Strong visual taste and the ability to distinguish a meaningful concept from a superficial asset variation.
- Comfort reviewing data, identifying patterns, and translating learnings into specific creative actions.
- Ability to manage a high-volume roadmap and move from insight to brief quickly.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort giving clear, constructive creative feedback.
- Fashion, beauty, activewear, lifestyle, or culturally relevant consumer experience is strongly preferred.
What Success Looks Like 437 has a consistent pipeline of differentiated paid creative concepts, not just more versions of the same ad. Testing is intentional, learnings are documented, winning ideas are scaled thoughtfully, and underperforming creative produces a clear next action.
The result is greater creative velocity, stronger new-customer acquisition, longer-lasting winners, and a tighter feedback loop between brand storytelling and performance.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- 4-day workweek year-round
- Education advancement fund to support your continued learning and growth
- Competitive benefits, with premiums covered by 437
- Exclusive 437 staff discounts and product perks
