We'll train you to become a skilled hardwood floor refinisher, but we're not starting from zero. This is a career position for someone who already has real hands-on construction or trades experience and wants to master one craft rather than keep bouncing between jobs.

If you're looking for seasonal or short-term work, or you have no trades background, this isn't the right fit and we won't be able to consider your application.

YOU MUST HAVE

- 2+ years of hands-on construction or trades experience (painting, drywall, tile, carpentry, flooring, or similar). Warehouse, landscaping, and general labour don't count.
- Held at least one job for 18 months or longer
- A valid BC driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your knees for full days
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Comfort with power tools and an eye for detail: finishes show every mistake

Strong Roots Flooring is a family-owned business that has refinished and installed hardwood floors in Kelowna since 2006. We work indoors in some of the nicest homes in the valley, we use low-VOC finishes and dust containment because we care about the people and places we work in, and we've built a small team that likes working together.



Most of our crew has been here for years; we're looking for the next person who'll say the same.

WHAT WE OFFER: Starting wage of $25/hr with raises tied to the skills you take on, overtime pay, extended health and dental, Monday to Friday, on-site parking, steady year-round work, and full training on the sanding and finishing side.
