Liquid Edge is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor trailer (tanker) units. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Cummins equipment.
Applicants must be comfortable using a tablet to run diagnostic tests and complete job documentation. A valid driver’s license is required. This role demands strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
This is an employee position. Tools are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
- Identify required parts and tools for repairs
- Complete shop paperwork and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
- Experience with tanker/tractor trailer units preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Heavy equipment operation experience (asset)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable using digital diagnostic tools and tablets
