Blackbird Security is seeking to hire Loss Prevention Officer in Vancouver, BC.

What You Will Do




Prevent shoplifter theft in a retail setting while providing customer service to clients, patrons and customers.
Wear plain clothes to work undercover, discreetly blending in with shoppers.
Patrol store aisles, monitor customers, and watch security camera footage.
Confront individuals you suspect of theft, who have unpaid merchandise.
Escort trespassers out of the client premises.
Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise
Complete required documentation for security incidents such as theft and violations.
Escalate situation to law enforcement as required.
Respond to emergency situations appropriately in a timely manner.

The Ideal Candidate
A Valid Security License (BST)
Advanced Security Training (AST) is a requirement
Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifting
Previous security experience in a retail workplace
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills’
Ability to work without close supervision
