For generations, guests have indulged in Hotel Georgia’s charming ambience, remarkable service and landmark location. Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints.
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements. Use Housekeeping mobile packs with cleaning supplies, amenities and linens to assigned guest room and position securely.
Use the clock wise or anti clock wise when you start cleaning the room Service assigned guest rooms. Replace laundry bags and slips. Check there are no stains on the sheers and drapes, call the housekeeping office to send a houseman to spot clean these areas.
Dust and wipe down all furniture with clean rags. Realign furniture to floor plan. (Do not move the furniture back to its original position if the guest requested that) Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains; Remove all dust, debris and foreign particles from upholstered furniture including crevices and under cushions. Dust pictures,
frames and mirrors.
Remove dust and debris on television, clock radio, remote control and cable box. Remove dust, spots and smears from windows, ledges and frames. Remove dust, grease and smears from telephones and reposition properly.
Remove dust smudges and spills from mini bar (including doors and shelves; Inspect condition of amenities in desk, drawers and guest service directory; Remove dust, dirt and smudges from A/C unit, vents, grids and thermostat Set thermostat in accordance with seasonal instructions. Record all the guest requests (if the guest communicated a special request while on the floor e.g. daily special cleaning time), also record if the guest placed the DND or refused service so if could be given in the turn down. Report immediately y for any suspicious act on the floors to your supervisor.
Report immediately for any strange item in room (too much blood, gun. etc.) Inform your supervisor or manager for any guest complaints Turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms to the Supervisor, and make sure to put the location, and date and your name on the designated form with the item. Experience:Minimum one years’ experience cleaning hotel guest rooms. Education:High school diploma. understand a guest’s service needs; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical
Skills:Knowledge of proper chemical handling procedures; familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies. Language:Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. #
