About the Role

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager with frequent interaction with the Human Resources Generalist, the Human Resources & Recruitment Coordinator is responsible to develop and implement talent acquisition plans, policies and procedures as well as provide support in other functional areas as directed.

As a key member of the Human Resource team, the Coordinator is responsible for providing transactional HR support to all Department Managers and Line Supervisors. Specializing in talent acquisition, the Coordinator is responsible for executing the annual recruitment and retention plans.

The role requires advanced computing skills, high level of confidentiality and strong attention to detail. The Coordinator interacts frequently with all CRM employees, responding to questions in a timely manner. Commitment to customer service excellence is a department value.

Job Requirements

· Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.

· Demonstrated work knowledge of multiple human resource areas preferred with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role and 3 years of experience working in a client-focused position.

· Work in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA, regulations, internal programs, policies and procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, prepare and post job notices and advertisements, and collect, screen, and interview with applicants
2. Facilitate full cycle recruitment including shortlisting,



interview coordination/set up and participation, referencing, and recommendation
3. Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager on all vacancies to determine the best recruitment strategy to meet the needs of the company
4. Identify opportunities for improvement within the recruitment process
5. Proactively and creatively cultivate candidate pools across disciplines
6. Advise job applicants on employment requirements and on terms and conditions of employment
7. Conduct organizational research and succession planning initiatives
8. Identify and attend relevant networking events and career fairs
9. Act as an ambassador of the company’s culture and values, ensure the employee experience is consistent and welcoming
10. Provide an exceptional pre-start and first day experience for new hires incorporating best practice
11. Coordinate and schedule all orientation activities
12. Assist to develop and deliver orientation materials and presentations
13. Act as a point of contact for all new hires during the entire on-boarding process
14. Maintains confidentiality of all employee records and employee information
15. Provide confidential administrative support to the Human Resources team
16. Plans, organizes and leads Human Resources events
17. Assist with the administration of HR programs and activities
18. Involved in research for the drafting/modification of Human Resources policies, procedures and forms. Supports any resulting implementation and communication activities as a result
19. Support routine staff relations matters by listening, coaching, counselling and making recommendations (after conferring with the HR Generalist)
20. Provides administrative support to the Health & Safety Officer and assists the Safety Officer to develop and implement safety programs
21. Responds to inquiries from employees and provides assistance when required; defers to HR Generalist as needed
22. Maintains compliance with Provincial regulations concerning employment laws and practices; conducts regular research and assists with compliance initiatives

procedures and memorandums to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality based on the requirement to access, review, maintain and distribute sensitive communication, materials and records

· Ability to show versatility and resourcefulness when problem solving

· Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines and importance of tasks

· Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate information with all team members and management

· Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.

Working Conditions The standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Most of the work occurs during regular weekday office hours. However, as an international company with frequent interaction with head office, hours of work involved may vary to accommodate differences in time zones. Flexible schedule are required and may include evening and week-end hours.

This job operates in office and food manufacturing setting. Travel may be required, both within Canada and internationally.

Pay: $50,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
