This position entails performing a diverse range of maintenance duties and requires working independently as well as collaboratively.Position ResponsibilitiesAssist the Maintenance Supervisor with projects and daily assignmentsPerform regular maintenance on properties including: changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing and floor repairRepair Interior walls, and install drywall for repair or replacementComplete preventative maintenance and annual inspectionsAssist with general maintenancePick up debris and miscellaneous objects on properties and at work sitesComplete regular and seasonal landscapingPressure wash propertiesClean windowsAssist with equipment operation and maintenanceOperate manual or small powered hand tools for maintenanceOperate ½ ton truck to haul materials and equipment to and from job site as requiredLoad and unload materials and equipment from trucksAdditional duties as requiredMinimum QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or the equivalentExperience: Previous construction and/or maintenance experience an assetValid Driver’s LicenseMust be able to provide a clean driver’s abstractMay be required to drive between sites when necessaryMust be punctual and reliableAble to work independentlyMust be able to lift and move heavy equipment to and from a vehiclePhysical RequirementsThe Maintenance Assistant, Commercial is required to frequently walk, stand, and climb stairs/ladders and in/around commercial sites. Must maintain professional appearance and be able to work in a construction setting in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet), dust, dirt, and other particulates. Must also have the ability to operate an automobile, read large quantities of information, operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry up to 50 lbs. independently. Finger dexterity is necessary.Work ScheduleThis full-time salaried position generally works eight-hour days, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
