Serve as a crucial Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) in Edmonton's Emergency Health Services. Provide essential pre-hospital care, lead ALS teams, and ensure vehicle readiness every shift.
This full time role involves assessing emergency scenes, providing advanced life support, and transporting patients. As an ACP, you'll face diverse settings requiring physical strength and resilience amidst challenging conditions. Successful applicants are expected to uphold professionalism with the public and colleagues and may fill multiple roles throughout the Edmonton area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess emergency scenes and provide critical care • Operate ambulances for patient transportation • Administer medications and advanced airway support • Ensure vehicles are stocked and operational • Lead ALS teams during transport and emergency care
Requirements: • Non-restricted ACP registration with ACOP • Current BCLS CPR certification required • Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence or equivalent • Proof of successful F.A.R.E. test completion • Capable of lifting up to 105 lbs and meeting physical demands
